Manually Removing User Profiles After Uninstalling Dragon Naturally Speaking

Uninstall Dragon NaturallySpeaking: First, ensure that Dragon NaturallySpeaking is completely uninstalled from your system. You can do this by going to “Control Panel” > “Programs” > “Programs and Features” (or “Add or Remove Programs” on older versions of Windows), then selecting Dragon NaturallySpeaking from the list and choosing to uninstall it.

Delete User Profiles Directory

Navigate to the directory where Dragon NaturallySpeaking stores user profiles. By default, this directory is located at: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Nuance\NaturallySpeakingXX\Users Replace “YourUserName” with your actual Windows username and “XX” with the version number of Dragon NaturallySpeaking you had installed.

Delete User Profile Folders

Inside the “Users” directory, you’ll find folders corresponding to each user profile. Delete the folders associated with the user profiles you want to remove. Be cautious not to delete any other essential files or folders.

Remove Registry Entries (Optional)

You can also remove any remaining registry entries related to Dragon NaturallySpeaking user profiles. However, editing the registry should be done with caution as it can potentially harm your system if done incorrectly. To do this:

  • Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
  • Type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
  • Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nuance\NaturallySpeaking and delete any keys related to the user profiles you want to remove.
